56-year-old Kerry Latham was shot with Nipsey Hussle by Eric Holder in front of The Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles on that tragic afternoon on March 31. A piece of his spine got chipped by a bullet but survived and is in a wheelchair now. He was then arrested by police by saying that being around Hussle is associating with a “known gang member.” Hussle was trying to hook Latham up with some free clothes after getting out of prison after 20 years at that moment.
Latham was put in jail but soon but got representation from California attorney Lauren Noriega. It now appears that Noriega got justice for Latham as she posted on Instagram today that his case is dismissed. As far as Latham being released from prison, Noriega added that he will be home soon.
Salute to Noriega for stepping up against this racial injustice and winning. Too many members of law enforcement try to criminalize black men no matter what they do positively in their community.
