Kevin Durant hires extra security ahead of his first game in Oklahoma City against the Thunder

Technically, Kevin Durant has played for three teams in his career. As many people remember and Seattle will never forget, Kevin Durant began in the NBA with the Seattle Supersonics. The Sonics would relocate to Oklahoma City, following KD’s rookie season.

Rebranded as the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin Durant was the built-in face of the franchise. Every franchise record belongs to Durant, as he literally took the team from nothing. But, he failed to win a championship, something the Golden State Warriors nearly did twice.

Immediately after the Warriors defeated the Thunder, in the playoffs, during the offseason, Kevin Durant signed with them. Fresh off their historic 73 win season and the playoff defeat, Kevin Durant became the public enemy in OKC. Fans in the city hate him, so Durant beefed up on security to protect himself in his former hometown.
