Kevin Durant makes his debut wearing Phoenix Suns gear
Kevin Durant is considered a generational talent and he put the Oklahoma City Thunder on the map. In 2012, Durant led the Thunder to the NBA Finals, alongside Russell Westbrook. The future looked bright for KD and the Thunder. However, they had disappointing playoff finishes in each year since. After the Thunder blew a 3-1 lead in the Conference Finals, to the Warriors, Durant left for Golden State. Ever since, he has been a journeyman. KD was recently traded to the Phoenix Suns.
Kevin Durant originally demanded the Brooklyn Nets trade him to the Suns. During the offseason, the Nets nearly lost Kevin Durant. He was understandably upset, as Kyrie Irving sat out most of the season, in 2022. In addition, James Harden forced a trade to Philadelphia. Previously, when all three played together, they owned the NBA’s best record. After that, KD and then-coach, Steve Nash, began feuding. As a result, KD demanded to be traded.
Kevin Durant had the Brooklyn Nets playing great basketball, before his injury. While he was gone, Kyrie Irving kept the Nets hot. However, he demanded a trade, and was sent to Dallas. Days later, Kevin Durant got his offseason wish, being traded to the Phoenix Suns. This morning, the Suns shared the first video of Durant wearing his Suns attire. Not only is KD with last year’s best team, he is also wearing his trademark number 35.
