Over the past six years, Kevin Durant has managed to prove, on a national scale, he is among the best basketball players in the world. Entering the NBA in 2007, Kevin Durant turned the Oklahoma City Thunder into championship contenders after being one of the NBA’s worst teams. Kevin Durant reached new heights in the lockout-shortened 2012 season, leading the Thunder to the NBA Finals, losing to the Miami Heat.

Losing in the NBA Finals only proved to be a minor setback, as Kevin Durant went on to be a part of the gold medal-winning USA Basketball team in the 2012 Olympics. When he is not playing basketball, Kevin Durant is listening to music. Coming as a surprise to few, Kevin Durant is a big fan of hip hop music, backing the career of both Dave East and Privaledge.

Recently, AllHipHop.com interviewed the NBA All-Star, Kevin Durant. During the interview, Durant talked about both his career in basketball and hip hop music. When asked who he would sign to his record label, if given the chance, Kevin Durant chose Rihanna, Drake, and fellow Washington, DC native, Wale. He said each bring their own different talents to the table, Drake being the icon, Rihanna being the leader of the new female movement, and Wale being a hometown hero, much like himself.
