Khalid teases new music sampling Alicia Keys

The wait for new Khalid music may be over sooner than later. After sharing with fans in early February of a new album on the way, he then released a snippet via Twitter. With a caption of “Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me..”, Khalid starts the single with a sample from Alicia Keys. Using her 2009 chart-topping single “UnThinkable”, Khalid shows off his modern twist on a classic single.

Khalid rose to fame with his catchy 2016 single “Location”. Since that release he’s produced three studio albums and an EP, all of which topped Billboard charts. His smooth and unique sound earned him, six Grammy Award nominations, six Billboard Music Awards and three American music Awards. In addition to recognition for his own work, he’s collaborated with multiple artist including Normani, H.E.R., Halsey and Billie Eilish. Further proving his musical artistry, Khalid has written songs for Ty Dolla $ign, Victoria Monét, Ed Sherran and Rich The Kid.

Although Khalid is sampling Alicia Keys on the unnamed single, the pair previously collaborated on music. The multi-platinum singer was featured on Khalid’s 2021 “Intro”. Despite no official release date, fans are anxious to hear a new Khalid album just in time for Spring.
