VH1 struck gold, once again, when they premiered “Love & Hip Hop” during the spring of 2011, featuring Jim Jones, his girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin, Olivia, video vixen, Somaya Reece, and Emily Bustamante, the longtime girlfriend of Fabolous. The first two seasons of the show have been highly successful and the addition of Kimbella, the longtime girlfriend of Juelz Santana sent ratings through the roof.
“Love & Hip Hop” has struck a chord with the urban community. Many urban and hip hop magazines have dedicated several articles to the show, along with several hip hop websites. Even many urban radio shows often discuss the show. VH1 is capitalizing off the success of the show by branching out. Earlier this week, VH1 announced there would be a “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” coming before the end of the year.
Upon learning of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” Khia decided she wanted to be a part of the show. It has been nearly two years since Khia has been in the news. In 2010, Khia made headlines for her series of disses aimed at Nicki Minaj. Khia last made headlines after reviewing Nicki Minaj’s debut album, Pink Friday. Predictably, she gave the album negative reviews. Back in the spotlight, Khia has told her fans to lobby to VH1 so she can land a spot on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” There are already rumors of the show including Diamond, of Crime Mob, and Rasheeda will be featured on the show.
