Kid Cudi wears custom space suit inspired by “After Earth” at concert

This year, Kid Cudi had an announcement that might or might not have come as a surprise. He said he was leaving G.O.O.D. Music. All is well between Kanye West and the man on the moon. But Kid Cudi decided it was time for him to branch out and do his own thing. After all, Kanye West had this same realization with Roc-A-Fella.

What’s interesting about these newer artists is that they don’t want to be tied down to one genre. A hip hop artist nowadays may want to do rock, country, or any other genre that interests them. Kid Cudi is into rock and techno and now that he’s on his own, he can show more of this off.

At a recent show for his “Cud Life Tour,” Kid Cudi was wearing a custom space suit, something that fits his persona. Kid Cudi rocked it like a boss and was met with tons of positive feedback from fans on his Twitter. He later said Will Smith in After Earth inspired the look.
