A couple of years ago, the movement on the West Coast became too much to overlook. Many of the guys out there began having success breaking into the mainstream. Among those artists was Kid Ink, who had a couple of street albums under his belt before even getting solid national radio play.
Last year, everything clicked for Kid Ink, as he started the year by getting signed to RCA. As the year came to a close, Kid Ink released “Show Me,” featuring Chris Brown, and saw immediate radio rotation. He began 2014 with the release of My Own Lane and had another hit with “Main Chick,” also featuring Chris Brown.
Kid Ink stopped by Hot 97, talking to Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez. Their conversation centered more around the music Kid Ink has written for others. Known for grilling their guests, Ebro and company also went on to talk to Kid Ink about his girlfriend and their life.
