Killer Mike booked for battery after alleged altercation at Grammys
On Sunday night, Killer Mike dominated in the three categories that he was nominated in, at the Grammys. He scored victories for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, & Best Rap Performance. Best Rap Performance was for Mike’s “Scientists & Engineers,” which also featured Future, Andre 3000, and Eryn Allen Kane.
However, Killer Mike went on to go viral, due to clips surfacing of him being placed in handcuffs by police, inside Crypto.com Arena. Furthermore, it was revealed that Mike allegedly got into a physical altercation with a security guard that was inside the venue.
Meanwhile, more information has surfaced, regarding Killer Mike’s detainment. According to TMZ, he went on to be booked for battery on a citizen’s arrest. As a result, this Mike was hit with a misdemeanor battery charge. Moreover, the initial incident allegedly occurred due to Mike pushing a security guard who didn’t move out of his way quickly enough.
Killer Mike’s attorney has since told Variety, that the Atlanta rapper has been released from custody. In a short statement, he said “He’s out and will be celebrating his sweep tonight.”
