Kim Kardashian officially granted single status, in divorce from Kanye West

Kim Kardashian is officially legally single

This morning, Kim Kardashian finally had her hearing, to see if a judge will rule that she is legally single, in her ongoing divorce to Kanye West. According to TMZ, Kim was on a video call for the hearing, as she went on to receive the ruling in her favor.

It was also reported that Kanye’s new attorney did not object to the single status, contrary to what Ye supposedly said last month. Ye’s new attorney is said to have had three conditions though.

The judge granted the condition of any right of reimbursement of money divided up being preserved, in case Kanye or Kim dies. The judge did throw away the proposed conditions of Kim not transferring any assets she had in trust, and if Kim were to get married again, Ye wanted her to waive her “marital privilege.” That refers to Kim’s new spouse not having to testify about any communication with Kim.

Kim was also asked various questions at the hearing. She went on to answer “yes” to “Are there problems in your relationship?” and “Do you think your marriage can be saved with counseling?” At the same time, Kanye was also granted legal single status.

Prior to the hearing, Kim reportedly claimed that Kanye’s February Instagram posts caused her emotional distress. That came after Ye dissed her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Ye also posted text messages that showed Kim telling him that Ye could cause someone to hurt Pete. Kanye did make it known though, that he wouldn’t let that happen.
