Klay Thompson flexes his titles as Warriors lose to Grizzlies

Klay Thompson is one of the NBA’s best players and one of the greatest shooters of all-time. When it’s all said and done, the Steph Curry / Klay Thompson duo will be considered one of the greatest in NBA history. While it doesn’t look like it, Steph and Klay have had a run that can only be compared to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. None of that takes away from how bad this season has been. Last night, the Warriors lost to the Grizzlies, badly. After the loss, Klay flashed his four fingers, representing his rings.

Klay Thompson established himself as the “Robin” to Stephen Curry’s “Batman.” In 2012, the Warriors won 23 games during the lockout season. The following year, the Warriors made their second playoff appearance in nineteen years. In 2014, the Warriors gave the Clippers a scare, but lost in the first round. Few people predicted 2015 being the start of a dynasty. However, the Warriors made five straight Finals appearances. After that came titles in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022.

Klay Thompson is still working himself back into shape. Aside from that, the Warriors have had terrible chemistry, this season. While most expected the Warriors to age, they were still expected to contend. The younger Memphis Grizzlies were expected to be their rivals. Instead, the Warriors have barely held onto a playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Warriors took another blowout loss to the Grizzlies. As the game was ending, Klay kept flashing the number four with his fingers, representing his championships.
