Last night, the Golden State Warriors managed to push through, and defeated the San Antonio Spurs, eliminating them. A lot of people have commented on the Spurs and their awkward season. Adding insult to injury, Gregg Popovich’s wife died, just before Game 4.
In Game 5, the Warriors regained momentum, and they have won the series. Now, they are playing the New Orleans Pelicans, arguably the hottest team in the playoffs. The play of Anthony Davis, Rajon Rondo, and Jrue Holiday have the Pels on another level.
Klay Thompson spoke with the media about the Pelicans, giving them props for being a strong and entertaining team. He was quick to say that the Warriors weren’t looking ahead to the Conference Finals, because the Pelicans are a real threat. He also spoke on Draymond Green’s play, eliminating the Spurs, and the likelihood of Steph Curry returning for Game 1.
