Not only was Kobe Bryant the symbol of youth, he became an integral part of the American culture. Early in his career, not only did Kobe make himself a force in the game, he also made TV rounds. His rookie year saw cameos on “In The House” and “Moesha.”
Kobe Bryant soon made himself a fixture in the NBA Finals, just as his idols, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan, did before him. Twenty years went by fast, just as Kobe said last night. Even though the world hates to see him leave, what a way to go.
Although “Empire” had a thrilling episode, with unforgettable performances from Terrence Howard and Trai Byers last night, the night belonged to Kobe Bryant. What will go overlooked, in future years, is that Kobe didn’t just score 60 points in his final game, he led his team back from a 15 point fourth quarter deficit.
