Kodak Black arrested in hometown of Pompano Beach, for trespassing; Was reportedly there to help pay credit card debts for families

Kodak Black had just completed a 90-day drug treatment program, after getting busted for drug use last fall. This was due after violating terms of his supervised released in his 2019 federal gun case. Now, more legal woes are plaguing the Florida rapper.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, Kodak was arrested in his hometown of Pompano Beach early this morning, at 3:02AM. This was near the 1600 block of Northwest 10th Drive in Golden Acres. This was on a misdemeanor trespassing charge, per TMZ.

Kodak went on to be taken to the Broward County Jail. He was able to post $25 bond and be released, though. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, says this arrest happened due to a cease-or-desist letter from four months ago. He added that the cease and desist never got to Kodak, and that it got to his label instead. The letter also supposedly didn’t mention anything about Kodak not being allowed in an area.

Kodak was said to be in this area to hang out with friends, and pay off credit card debt, for five families. Police soon arrived though, and told the rapper that he was in “violation of a letter issued by the local Housing Authority.”

Earlier this year, Kodak had been pardoned by Donald Trump, in his last day in office, as president. At the time, Kodak had been serving a 46-month sentence for falsifying information on gun applications. Kodak has since earned another hit single at the end of 2021, with “Super Gremlin.” He also put out multiple projects in 2021, such as “Happy Birthday Kodak,” “Bill Israel,” and “Haitian Boy Kodak.”
