Kodak Black charged in Ft. Lauderdale, for possession of a controlled substance without prescription, and trafficking in oxycodone

Kodak Black arrested for drug possession in Florida

On Friday, news was being spread on social media that Kodak Black had been arrested, in his home state of Florida. Kodak allegedly had oxycodone pills and thousands of dollars of cash on him.

According to TMZ, more details about this arrest are surfacing. Kodak’s Dodge Durango was pulled over, after police saw an illegal tinted window. Kodak also had expired license tags. They also decided to search the car, after smelling marijuana. That resulted in police finding 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash.

Kodak went on to be taken to Broward County Jail. A $75,000 bond was negotiated, though. Charges filed against Kodak included possession of a controlled substance without prescription and trafficking in oxycodone.

“Never judge a case based on an arrest,” said Kodak’s lawyer Bradford Cohen, to TMZ. “There are facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We negotiated a bond of $75,000 and we will move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”

Kodak had finally remained relatively quiet lately, when it came to legal woes. It’ll be interesting to see if this arrest will be an issue for him, moving forward.
