Kodak Black to sign with Capitol Records after Atlantic deal ends
Since 2015, Kodak Black has become one of the biggest artists in the industry. His early buzz led to him signing with Atlantic Records, in 2016. He’s had plenty of hit records since then, and has seen consistent success with his albums and mixtapes.
Now, Kodak is reportedly heading over to Capitol Records, once his deal at Atlantic is over. According to Billboard, he has two more album releases that he has to fulfill. This includes his “Kutthroat Bill: Vol. 1” project, coming this Friday. Lead singles for this album include “I’m Awesome,” “Spin,” and “Walk.”
Kodak is definitely joining another star-studded major record label. Current artists at Capitol include Babyface, Doechii, Toosiii, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney, and more.
Kutthroat Bill: Vol. 1 will be Kodak’s second project of 2022. Back in February, he put out his “Back For Everything” album. That went on to debut at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, and is certified gold in the US.
Kodak has also been trending on social media lately, due to being rumored to be dating Monica. The two have been spotted on multiple nights out together. However, neither have confirmed this relationship status, yet.
