Towards the end of the presidential campaign, Kodak Black came out and endorsed Donald Trump. That choice angered many. During his presidency, Trump was highly controversial.
Ultimately, Donald Trump would lose the 2020 election, leading to Joe Biden becoming president. At the end of each presidency, the outgoing president has the chance to issue pardons.
Kodak Black was among the people pardoned, by Donald Trump, as he left the White House. Another person, among those pardons, was Lil Wayne, who would also endorse Trump for a second term. While Kodak Black was pardoned by Trump, he has a sexual assault case, from 2016, in South Carolina, and prosecutors want to “aggressively” go after Kodak.
