Kodak Black’s New Orleans Show Canceled

Yikes! Florida rapper Kodak Black was scheduled to appear at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in Armstrong Park on Thursday, March 14th, at 8 p.m., but the show has been cancelled. A representative of the theater has confirmed the cancellation of the show, this comes after the recent news of Kodak publicly insulting New Orleans superstar, Lil Wayne.

Due to the cancellation,  the show was apparently moved from the 2,243- seat Mahalia Jackson Theater to the 1,000-person-capacity House of Blues in the French Quarter at 11 p.m.

As we know, Wayne is treated like a god in his home state of Louisiana, and when Black confirmed he was moving forward with visiting New Orleans to perform, law enforcement was said to be on “high alert” just in case anything goes down.

In case you missed it, on March 4th, a candid video was posted on Twitter of Black taking the mic in a Miami nightclub and calling Lil Wayne a “maggot” and declaring that “you should have died when you was a baby.”

Although it’s still unclear as to the reasoning behind this outburst, it has since caused a heated back and forth between Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter and now has affected Kodak’s performances in NOLA.
