Kool Keith calls out rappers who sound alike and don’t write their own rhymes, new album, and more with #SwayInTheMorning [VIDEO]

Much acclaim goes to the 1990s golden era of hip hop. Often, fans speak of Jay Z, Nas, Fat Joe, AZ, Method Man, and others from the era. But, prior to this, the guys who opened the door for them were Kool Keith and Big Daddy Kane, among many others.

 

Kool Keith emerged during the mid-1980s and became a pretty big name, during his era. The music he made then led to Kool Keith becoming a legend. A true lyricist, Kool Keith has a problem with the fake, which was the basis of the Meek Mill/Drake beef.

Sway recently had Kool Keith on “Sway In The Morning” and he spoke on this. Every rapper who sounds like another rapper and doesn’t write their own rhymes got called out by Kool Keith. He would go onto discuss his new album, his first solo album in two years.
