At this point, it’s safe to say the Toronto Raptors underachieved, this season. The Raptors set a franchise record for wins, the past two seasons, but broke through, last year. After years of playoff disappointment, the Raptors got to the Conference Finals.
Finally, the duo of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry proved they were worth something other than regular season highlights. First, they proved they could win in the regular season. Then, when they defended home, in 2016, they showed they were real contenders.
This year, the Raptors took a step back, but so did Cleveland. The big difference was how LeBron and Kyrie stepped up when the playoffs came, while the Raptors let the Bucks take them to six games. Kyle Lowry chose to sit Game 3 and Game 4 out, which led to Jalen Rose roasting his outfit and Twitter jumped in, because they feel like he should’ve played them games.
