From the way they beat the Sixers, and how they manhandled the Cavs, in Game 1, the Celtics were the team people were sleeping on. In the regular season, it was all about Kyrie vs. LeBron. That, in turn, made it all about the Cavs vs. Celtics.
But, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry silently beat them both out for the top seed, and demanded it be all about them. Then, Ben Simmons and the Sixers closed the season on a historic run. It turns out, that was just a huge distraction, but the Raptors and Sixers, from the Cavs/Celtics.
Most people expected Cleveland to handle the Celtics, who are currently being led by Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. But, this team has a veteran, in Al Horford, and he’s doing his thing. Twitter is caught up in how Kyrie and Gordon Hayward aren’t even playing, and how they wish they were, because the Cavs would really be going down, right now.
