Kyrie Irving is a player that frustrates many NBA fans. Last season, Irving missed most of the season, due to his unwillingness to take the shot. As a result, the Brooklyn Nets went from championship favorites to having to endure an eleven game losing streak. Despite this and trading James Harden, the Nets still managed to salvage their season. In the end, Kevin Durant led the Nets to a 43-39 record, and they won their Play-In games, en route to making the playoffs.
Kyrie Irving did play in the Brooklyn Nets’ first round playoff series against the Boston Celtics. After all of their work to finish the season with a winning record, and to make the playoffs, the Nets were swept by the Celtics. During the offseason, the Nets worked on getting Ben Simmons back into playing shape. In the James Harden trade, the Nets got Ben Simmons in return. This season is Ben’s first playing on the court, since the 2021 playoffs, when he was still with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons both have a lot of NBA fans upset with them. Putting their early season struggles to the side, their goal is a championship. Unfortunately, Ben Simmons is making mistakes similar to the ones that led him to force his way out of Philly. Tonight, the Nets took on their rivals, the Milwaukee Bucks, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo. A comeback gave Milwaukee the win over Brooklyn. When the momentum was shifting, Kyrie Irving threw a pass to Ben. After that, he begged him to just shoot the ball. Simmons wound up passing to another teammate.
