Kyrie Irving won’t play in Brooklyn Nets home games, due to NYC’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate

Kyrie Irving won't play in Brooklyn Nets home games, due to NYC COVID-19 vaccine mandateLeading the chorus of anti-vaxxer NBA players is Kyrie Irving. A controversial player, to say the least, Irving forced himself off the Cleveland Cavaliers’ roster, after playing in the NBA Finals. He has since become a journeyman.

Kyrie Irving played with the Boston Celtics, for two seasons, before leaving for the Brooklyn Nets. With Kevin Durant also joining, the plan was for a superteam. Last year, they lost in the playoffs to the Milwaukee Bucks.

With a full season under them, the Brooklyn Nets are expected to contend for the championship. But, Kyrie Irving refusing to get vaccinated is complicating things. Due to New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine law, he will not play in Nets’ home games.
