LaMelo Bell trends as social media clowns the Hornets for not surrounding him with talented players

LaMelo Ball trends after Pacers trade for Pascal Siakam
LaMelo Ball was once the most promising player from the 2020 draft. During his first two seasons, Ball led the Hornets to the postseason. Both times, they fell short in the play-in. However, it looked like LaMelo and the Hornets were the future. Starting with bringing Steve Clifford back to coach, instead of hiring Mike D’Antoni, the Hornets have fallen apart since 2022. Tyrese Haliburton, during this span of time has taken over. To aid this, Indiana traded for Pascal Siakam. Now, all eyes are on LaMelo.
LaMelo Ball has been hampered by injuries over the past two years. As a result, the Charlotte Hornets have fallen to become one of the NBA’s four worst teams. Before injuries derailed the 2022 season, they were on pace for the fourth seed. In addition, the Hornets looked like a 50-win team. It was a safe assumption that Charlotte had a strong duo with Ball and Miles Bridges. Obviously, Bridges’ off court decisions caused problems. However, Mark Williams looked like a nice partner for Ball.
LaMelo Ball is trending on social media, due to Indiana trading for Pascal Siakam. The Pacers have paired their young star, Tyrese Haliburton, with an All-Star veteran. Similarly, the Minnesota Timberwolves put a solid team around Anthony Edwards. As a result, four seasons in, Edwards currently has the Wolves with the top record in the West. Meanwhile, Haliburton led the Pacers to the in-season championship game. The Hornets, on the other hand, are 8-29, on a five game losing streak.
