Lola Brooke performs “Don’t Play With It” at Coachella
Coachella has kicked off the first two days of its festival in Indio, CA, this weekend. Sunday concluded its first weekend, as Latto was one of the afternoon performers. Latto is a frequent festival performer now, as she’s also been hitting the stage at Rolling Loud.
During Latto’s performance, she went on to bring out Lola Brooke. Lola performed her breakout hit single “Don’t Play With It,” as Latto was also featured on the remix, which was released last month. Yung Miami was also featured on that record. This single was initially released by Lola in May 2021, but heavily went viral in the fall of 2022. The original version also featured fellow Brooklyn native, Billy B.
Meanwhile, Lola has been one of hip-hop’s biggest new breakout rappers. In January, she signed to Arista Records, in partnership with Team 80 ENT, and dropped her first single of the year, in March. That was “So Disrespectful.” Lola’s built a lot of momentum to kick off 2023, as many anticipate that a project is coming soon, as well.
