Layzie Bone leaves Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, makes announcement via Twitter

Twenty years ago, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony put Cleveland on the map when they signed with Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records. Behind the scenes, Eazy-E was getting money off Death Row Records, but in the eyes of the public, he took a loss. The addition of the rap/singing group, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, helped shift these fortunes.

In recent years, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have taken a backseat with the influx of other crews. Their impact on the game remains with Game paying homage to them on his hit from last summer, “Celebration.” The group was also included on the remix for the track.

Despite their strong run of success, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have gone through many changes behind the scenes. After twenty years, one member is out in Layzie Bone and there are no hard feelings. He has no more obligations to the crew, but will make a few more appearances with them.
