LeBron James claims that he’s been a Migos fan since 2010
Tuesday will officially mark one week, since Takeoff passed away. This was as a result of being the victim of being in the middle of a crossfire shooting. That was in the aftermath of Quavo being in argument with a group of men, at a bowling alley in the downtown Houston area.
Takeoff was always viewed as a very calm and laidback person, who was never in drama. He appeared to be in the wrong place and wrong time, as 10 shots were fired, from two different weapons. Quavo and others at the scene attempted to find medical assistance, but Takeoff’s injuries to the torso and head were too severe.
Tributes have since poured in, from many celebrities. LeBron James changed his Instagram avi to a photo of Takeoff. He even wore a black suit with a Jesus piece chain, before the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, on Sunday, to resemble a previous outfit that Takeoff wore.
After the Lakers loss, LeBron spoke about Takeoff again, in the postgame press conference. There, he puzzled many fans, by claiming that he’s been listening to Migos, since his first year with the Miami Heat, in 2010. As many know, Migos didn’t start buzzing, until 2012, and actually soared to stardom, in the summer of 2013.
“I was listening to those guys my first year with the Heat in 2010,” LeBron said. “You can ask any one of my teammates back then, they had no idea who the Migos was… I was like ‘I’m telling you these guys are next.’”
