The Cleveland Cavaliers struggled all season long, but found a groove late in the season, locking in number two at 53-29, meanwhile the Atlanta Hawks overachieved at 60-22, locking up number one. LeBron James led Cleveland to a 118-88 victory, sweeping Atlanta, who made their first Conference Finals appearance since moving to Atlanta, over forty years ago.
