LeBron James says he’d A&R Ab-Soul’s next album
Last month, Top Dawg Entertainment’s Ab-Soul finally released his first album since 2016. This was “Herbert,” as it received plenty of praise on social media. Ab delivered 18 new songs, including collaborations with Big Sean, Jhené Aiko, Joey Bada$$, and more. Ab even went on to Twitter to say that Herbert was a top five album of 2022.
However, it appears that Ab is already working on his next album. Last night, he spoke with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James about A&Ring his next album. That came after the Lakers scored a 113-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs, at Crypto.com Arena.
“You really the right of passage,” Soul said to LeBron. “Top [Dawg] told me to ask you if you would A&R the next album.”
As a result, LeBron was happy to do so. He ended up telling Ab that “Yeah, I can do that.” Ab also explained how “House Party” director Calamatic also shot videos for himself and Kendrick Lamar before. LeBron stars in this new House Party film. LeBron also A&R’d 2 Chainz’s 2019 “Rap Or Go To The League” album.
