Just when the world was getting used to seeing the LA Clippers as a good team, it looks like it might be over. Since 2012, the Clippers have posted 50-win seasons, one of the longest runs in the NBA. They won 56, 57, 56, 53, and 51 games in these seasons.
It’s no coincidence that this run began when Chris Paul joined the team, after starting his career with the New Orleans Hornets. Paired up with Blake Griffin, the Paul-led Clippers have dominated the regular season, each year. Then, LeBron James has owned the playoffs.
LeBron James has been in every NBA Finals since 2011, playing for both the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. Following the Cavaliers five game ousting, at the hands of the Warriors, there are rumors of him leaving Cleveland, again, with the Clippers being the destination. But, it’s being said that LeBron will reportedly “never” join the Clippers, meanwhile Blake Griffin and Chris Paul have opted out.
