Criticism is often leveled at Dame Dash, some of it is deserved, but not all of it. For all of his faults, people often overlook that Dame Dash is the man who introduced the world to Jay-Z and Kanye West. On top of that, he helped Kevin Hart and Lee Daniels get started.
Those moves, alone, have changed the entire scope of the entertainment world. But, there are still people who take Dame Dash for a joke, and Lee Daniels was apparently one of them. The “Empire” creator owed Dame Dash over $1 million.
When Dame Dash first revealed this, many continued laughing, and didn’t believe him. However, Dame Dash was telling the truth, and he confronted Lee Daniels, who finally agreed to pay him. Finally, this has been settled, and Lee Daniels has paid Dame the $1.7 million he owed him for the Lee Daniels biopic.
