Coming into season two of “Empire,” Lee Daniels said he wanted to scale back the opulence of season one. In the first season of “Empire,” money, glitz, and glamour were at the forefront. Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson embodied this in their leading roles of Lucious and Cookie.
At the end of season one, Lucious (Howard) was arrested for the murder of Bunkie. Coming into season two, there was speculation about what would happen with Lucious. Rumors of a prison storyline for Howard were confirmed.
Filming for “Empire” season two began this afternoon and Lee Daniels was on set to make sure his show went out without a hitch. The prison storyline is definitely going to happen and this is where Chris Rock shows up. Recently, Lee Daniels took to his Instagram and shared photos and clips from the filming, showing Chris Rock and Terrence Howard in the clip.
