People seem to love “entanglements,” because of the stories that they hold. However, each “messy” situation could result in someone’s life being lost. To some, nothing is more entertaining than a lesbian love triangle, involving cousins, but there’s real people involved.

Situations such as those made Jerry Springer a household name, but anything can happen. Emotions run high, especially when loved ones are involved with the same person. In Cocoa, Florida, an Orlando suburb, an entanglement turned deadly.

Leniquea Venice Byrd, age 19, is currently behind bars, facing murder charges, after shooting and killing Nitekka Nesha Lennear, her own cousin. Lennear is the ex-girlfriend of Byrd’s current girlfriend, Aniyah Terriana Roshay Thomas, and was confronting Thomas over her change in Facebook relationship status. When she did, Thomas instructed Byrd to shoot her cousin, yelling “shoot her, bae,” and she did, hitting her at least once in the chest, killing her, as Lennear was walking off, and Lennear’s current girlfriend has a video of the encounter.
