Chris Rock went to counseling after Will Smith slapped him
Chris Rock became the most discussed name in entertainment, after Will Smith hit him. It wasn’t just that it was a slap. Honestly, it wasn’t even about it being the Oscars. Instead, it was Chris Rock being in the middle of his monologue and Will walking on stage and slapping him. All of those things together made it a memorable moment. Leslie Jones has now broken her silence on it, saying it sent Chris Rock to therapy.
After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, numerous people spoke out. Among them was Tony Rock, Chris’ younger brother. While most may have forgotten, Tony once had a close relationship with Will. From 2003 until 2007, they worked together on “All of Us.” The younger Rock was a co-star, while Smith was the show’s creator, executive producer, and he was a recurring character. However, after the slap, Tony threatened Will Smith.
For well over a year, Chris Rock saw his name all over headlines. When he finally addressed the Will Smith incident, he wouldn’t let it go. However, Will has offered Chris numerous public apologies. So far, none have been accepted. There may be a reason for that. Recently, Leslie Jones did an interview with PEOPLE magazine. She said Rock ended up going to counseling after the Will Smith slap. That only makes sense, as the whole world saw it, and it made international news.
