In 2020, Lil Baby arguably had the best year in hip-hop and possibly in music in general. In February, he put out his sophomore album, “My Turn,” which contained hits such as the platinum singles, “Woah,” “Sum 2 Prove,” and “Emotionally Scarred.” The deluxe edition featured another hit in “We Paid” which included breakout hip-hop star, 42 Dugg.

Baby’s stardom isn’t slowing down anytime soon. This time, he has received his own Monster Energy commercial. This will also be airing during Super Bowl LV this Sunday.

In these visuals, the Atlanta rapper discusses going through the struggle and how he overcame it. He added that this is something that rockstars do. People were also seen in the ad polishing motorcycles, skateboarding, and designing outfits.

“I wasn’t born in the spotlight,” said Baby. Nah, I had to grind to shine, like a star on a hot night. And something ’bout the struggle now resides in my muscles. And every trial and trouble helped to hame my hustle. Real rockstars don’t chase the spotlight, it chases them.”

Baby also appeared in a Magnum Condoms commercial in December. There, he even laid down a verse for the popular sexual protection brand as he got very intimate in the music.
