Lil Baby has arguably been the hottest rapper of 2020 and it all started with the release of his sophomore album, ‘My Turn,’ in February. The lead singles were his 2019 record, “Woah,” and “Sum 2 Prove,” which was released in January. My Turn debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart over Bad Bunny’s ‘YHLQMDLG’ album. “Emotionally Scarred” and “Heatin Up” featuring Gunna were also fan-favorites.

Baby would go on to release the My Turn deluxe edition in May and he had another huge hit record on his hands with “We Paid” feat. 42 Dugg. It peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has since been certified 2x platinum in the US by the RIAA. My Turn as a whole has gone 2x platinum.

According to Chart Data, My Turn has just now left the Billboard 200 chart after 30 weeks. Despite this, it is still the No.1  album of 2020 in terms of total units. Many fans don’t expect this absence to last long though due to the massive success it has experienced this year. People also expect Baby to release his highly anticipated ‘Lamborghini Boys‘ mixtape soon, which he announced back in December with My Turn. The release of this project should easily propel My Turn back into the Billboard 200.
