Lil Baby’s ‘My Turn’ Becomes No. 1 Best-Selling Album of 2020 in The U.S in Total Units; Passes The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’

Lil Baby has arguably been the hottest artist of 2020. His 2019 was already strong with the success of records such as “Woah” and “Baby On Baby” feat. DaBaby. He started off 2020 with his “Sum 2 “Prove” single and the momentum built up from there as he went on to release his sophomore album, ‘My Turn,’ in February.

My Turn featured hits such as “Emotionally Scarred” and the Sum 2 Prove and Woah singles. Emotionally Scarred went on to become certified platinum this month. The deluxe addition featured even more hits such as “All In” and “We Paid” feat. 42 Dugg. We Paid has since gone gold.

My Turn became the No.1  album in the country again this month after initially debuting at No. 1 in February. The Weeknd has had the best-selling album of 2020 with his fourth studio album, ‘After Hours,’ but now, that has changed. According to Chart Data, My Turn has taken this spot as it passed After Hours in total units. Baby’s recent surge in success also comes from his latest “The Bigger Picture” single which tackles racism and police brutality in America.

Fans are now also awaiting Baby’s upcoming ‘Lamborghini Boys‘ mixtape. He announced this project back in December at the same time that he did with My Turn. This mixtape will also only feature artists who actually own this luxury car.
