Ten years ago, a group of young men from Chicago began releasing music that changed the course of rap music. They introduced drill music to the world. At the time, Lil Durk was one of those rappers, but he was just a guy in the crowd. He still did enough to land a major label deal.
Lil Durk wasn’t the one that people expected to be seeing, ten years later. But, of all of the rappers from that entire outfit, Lil Durk is the most successful one. When it comes to the numbers, Lil Durk is the biggest artist in the game that’s not named Drake.
Along with being a popular rapper, Lil Durk is also a smart businessman. Through this journey, Lil Durk has been the head of his own OTF label. Early in their run, OTF dealt with the death of OTF Nunu, which definitely hurt what they had going on. But, Lil Durk learned from this, and OTF now has a label deal. Several artists from the label have also risen to fame, with King Von being the most recognized one. Sadly, he also was killed, so Lil Durk has had to hold it down for them both.
Last night, Lil Durk shared a video of himself flying on a private jet back to Chicago. He was carrying $1 million cash and the stack was so big, he couldn’t even hold all of it.
