Drill music is the interpretation of the Chicago violence in the form of music. Most associate the hardcore sound with Chief Keef, but it is all the rappers growing up in the midst of the violence. A lot of this violence spills from the streets, to the music, to the tweets, all in an endless cycle.
Lil Jay released his Unexpected Fame mixtape earlier this year and it became a street favorite. The project was good enough to get Lil Jay a bit of mainstream attention, which coincided with Capo’s run. Capo is a member of Chief Keef’s GBE movement and he has begun making moves of his own.
Yesterday afternoon, Lil Jay instigated a situation with his Chicago counterpart. Clearly, it did not take long for things to get tense. Once Lil Jay disrespected Capo, he came back at him hard and they continued to take shots at each other on Twitter, providing much entertainment for the fans.
