Back in 2010, Nicki Minaj took over the game, and Lil’ Kim was the only person to take exception. At the time, only Ray J was another person to side with Lil’ Kim. Soon, it became an entire situation, where Lil’ Kim became an enemy of Cash Money Records.
Lil’ Kim was one of the top rappers in the game, from the mid-1990s through the mid-2000s. Through this run, Lil’ Kim was the top female rapper in the game, most of the time. It all started with Hard Core, her debut album.
Recently, Nicki Minaj released her album, QUEEN, which many said is inspired by Lil’ Kim. Whatever the case, Kim’s debut album is currently number six on iTunes, ahead of albums from Mac Miller, Cardi B, and Post Malone. The Nicki Minaj fans are claiming this is inspired all by Nicki’s QUEEN album.
