Tonight, TV One debuts their new film, When Love Kills, which is directed by Tasha Smith. The movie stars Lil’ Mama and Lance Gross in roles unlike they’ve ever played before. An extension of TV One’s popular “For My Man” series, the movie follows Falicia Blakely’s story.
Falicia Blakely (Lil’ Mama) began exotic dancing, at a young age. On the scene, she met a man named Dino (Lance Gross), who is a pimp. Soon, the two become a couple, and have a child, leading to Falicia doing dirty work for and with Dino, including murder.
Lil’ Mama and Lance Gross stopped by ThisIs50, where they would sit down with Jack Thriller. The two discussed When Love Kills and how they prepared for their roles. Particularly, when it comes to Lance Gross, this is a role unlike any other he’s played.
