Lil Meech posts bond after arrest for firearm at airport

On Tuesday, it was reported that actor Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr was arrested at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. This was due to him carrying a firearm in his carry-on luggage.

As a result, Deputies from the Broward Co. Sheriff’s Office came and took Meech into custody. The firearm apprehended was a Glock 19 9mm, but was empty. A 15-round magazine was, though. Meech didn’t have a license to carry either, as he was soon charged with introducing a firearm into the sterile area of the airport. This is classified as a felony.

However, it appears that it didn’t take long for Meech to post bond. In the late afternoon, he took to his Instagram stories to show himself off with his crew, inside of a private jet. Meech didn’t say much, but seemed relieved to be a free man again.

Meech initially built his stardom in 2021, by starring in the “BMF” series, the fall of 2021. He played the role of his father Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, who was famous for being one of the biggest drug dealers in Detroit. Big Meech also helped contribute to careers of artists such as Jeezy and Fabolous. Season 2 of BMF will premiere on January 6.
