This week, Lil Nas X’s breakout hit single, “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, reached another huge milestone since its spring 2019 release. That was becoming the highest certified track in RIAA history. This is after reaching the 14x platinum mark.
Old Town Road continues to keep its momentum going as it has now eclipsed another huge record. According to Chart Data, it is the No. 1 most streamed song of all-time in the US. This is after accumulating over 2.933 billion on-demand streams.
Old Town Road went on to win two Grammy awards as those were for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video. The single went on to appear on Nas X’s debut ‘7‘ EP that summer. In 2021, he is preparing to finally put out his debut studio album. Last month, Nas X released his “Holiday” single which did very well as it is certified gold by the RIAA already.
