In early August, Lil Nas X put out his third single of 2021, in “Industry Baby.” This featured another huge superstar, in Jack Harlow. At the time, Industry Baby debuted at number two, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This month, Industry Baby went on to climb to the top of the Hot 100. This also became Nas X’s second number one hit of the year, next to “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” Industry Baby also quickly went platinum, in a month.
Now, Industry Baby has earned another plaque. According to Chart Data, it is now 2x platinum in the US. This is after selling 2 million units. This record also appeared on Nas X’s debut studio album, “Montero,” last month. That went on to debut at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart.
