Lil Nas X’s Debut Album, “Montero,” Passes 1 Billion Streams, in the US

Last month, Lil Nas X finally delivered his debut studio album, “Montero.” That came after putting out hit singles all year, such as “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” “Sun Goes Down,” and “Industry Baby,” ft Jack Harlow. Montero exceeded expectations, as it went on to debut at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart.

Montero continues to have a lot of momentum, almost a month later, as the support regarding streams, is still going strong. According to Chart Data, the album has now reached over 1 billion on-demand streams, in the US.

Montero contained 15 tracks, with additional appearances from Megan Thee Stallion, Elton John, Doja Cat, and Miley Cyrus. “That’s What I Want” has since emerged as another popular record from Nas X, on this project. On the day of Montero’s release Nas X also put out music videos for most of the songs on the project.
