Cash Money Records proved their legitimacy when Lil Wayne announced Limp Bizkit was signing with the label. For years, Cash Money Records released music strictly from New Orleans, but soon expanded to releasing music from several imprints. In a landscape where Roc-A-Fella Records no longer exists and Def Jam is barely holding on, Cash Money Records has become home to a number of the hottest artists in the game.

Lil Twist has been signed to Young Money, Lil Wayne’s label under Cash Money Records, for several years. His debut album, Don’t Get it Twisted, has been facing delays for nearly three years, but it set to be released in the coming weeks. Cash Money Records has started the promotion for the album a few weeks ago. In the wake of signing Limp Bizkit, Lil Twist has been pushed to the wayside, for the time being.

However, Lil Twist was flown down to Miami, where he met Fred Durst, the leader of Limp Bizkit. XXL caught up with Lil Twist, asking him how the meeting went. As he entered the studio, Lil Twist said he had no idea who Durst was until he said he was the leader of Limp Bizkit. It was then when it hit the young rapper who then embraced the rock legend.
