Lil Uzi Vert incorrectly listed as suspect in missing puppy case
On Friday, Lil Uzi Vert trended due to an odd situation for himself, in his home state of Pennsylvania. The Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department revealed that someone stole a puppy in the town of Wilkes-Barre Township.
Furthermore, the photo of the car that the suspect used was posted on the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department’s Facebook page, as well as a photo of the missing puppy, per TMZ. As a result, Uzi’s photo was inserted at the bottom of the collage, which was a selfie.
However, the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department realized that Uzi was not a suspect, and that they made a mistake in using his photo as the suspect of who stole the missing puppy. They then were able to obtain and post a photo of the actual suspect that they were seeking.
Moreover, this incident comes after Uzi released his highly anticipated “Pink Tape” album. That project contained 26 songs, including collaborations with Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, and Don Toliver. As a result, it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and was the first hip-hop album released in 2023 to go number 1.
