For the past week, Lil Uzi Vert has been one of the most-discussed artists in the game. This young man shot to fame, last summer, and hasn’t looked back. His comeup has been real, as he is spent last night at the Billboard Music Awards.
Lil Uzi Vert has established himself as a hip hop rock star. While he may become the first to perfect this, the Shop Boyz had this mentality a decade ago. But, Uzi has caught the wrath of the “real” hip hop lovers over his torn shirt from last weekend.
Sway caught up with Lil Uzi Vert on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet. There, Jeannie Mai asked him about his outfit, which led to the question from Sway about his rap critics. Uzi clapped back, saying they never felt the fabrics he’s rocking, and that his current shirt is also $2,400.
