Lil UZi Vert’s “Pink Tape” heading for number one debut in US
Last week, Lil Uzi Vert delivered his highly anticipated “Pink Tape” album. 26 new songs were released, including collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and more. As a result, Uzi also had the biggest streaming day of his career on Spotify, with over 60 million streams.
Meanwhile, Uzi is also on his way to having a major first overall week, for Pink Tape. According to Chart Data, the album is on pace to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. 165,000 units of Pink Tape are listed, as Uzi is overtaking Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing At A Time,” which has been at the top spot for most of the spring and summer.
Furthermore, Pink Tape will also be the first hip-hop album to reach this number one spot, in 2023. This comes as a surprise to many, but the drought is finally heading to finally being ended.
Uzi is also hinting at a new project already coming soon, as well. This is the third installment of his “Luv Is Rage” series, as he has put “Luv Is Rage 3” in his Instagram bio. However, no official release date has been announced as of now.
