This year has silently been a big year for both Drake and Lil Wayne, who came off big album releases in 2013. They continued their run this year, as Lil Wayne is preparing the release of Tha Carter V. His single, “Believe Me,” featuring Drake, helped build the momentum for the tour.
The Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour is just that, a competition to see who the crowd reacts to the best. Thus far, it’s been an even split and neither Drake nor Lil Wayne have been above making fun of the other for the fans’ attention. This trend continued when the tour hit Detroit.
Drake has made a name for himself for being both one of the top rappers and singers in the game. Such staples as “Find Your Love,” “Take Care,” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home” are considered Drake classics. Lil Wayne used this for his own joke purposes, as he prepared for the Detroit show.
